Recital Lineup
All current company members planning to compete in 2008-2009 are required to register for at least one Ballet class per week for 7-week session.
They may make up in any other ballet class if they are unable to commit to full 7 weeks.
It is strongly recommended that each member take an additional technique class for any genre of dance they wish to compete in for the 2008-2009 season.
It is highly recommended that each member take a summer camp in the genre of dance they wish to compete in the 2008-2009 season.
The TEACHERS determine class levels. It is based on age, ability, and maturity. Please keep in mind that most students remain in the same level for several years. For example, if a child begins at level 1/2 at age 5, they will not be in level 6/7 at age 9. It is not in our nature to hold a student back, nor is it to send a child to a more advanced level when they have not mastered the technique needed to do so. Please remember we are trained professionals and we have only your child’s best interest at heart!
When choosing groups for next year’s season, we will be evaluating this past year’s performance, commitment, and attitude. We will also be watching their improvement from the past year as well as their progress this summer. Summer is a great time to improve technique. The more classes and camps that our current company members can take, the stronger dancers they can become. It is in their best interest to stay active in technique and enroll in camps over the summer!
